These Used transformer values between $4,000 to $7,000. each, these were used in excellent condition. certified No PCB's
in the oil .So far we estimate they have stolen about 500 lbs of copper from the transformers and off the roof .

It will take about $15,000.-$20,000. to  repair the damages

PA State Troopers ,

Transformers -  North End Behind plating Plant

This section of our plant was  in the process of being remodeled and these heavy 13,000 V, High Voltage
distribution transformers were temporarily turned off.

While they were de-energized  some thieves cut the transformers loose and started to dismantle
the copper which of course destroys the transformer.

Out of 12 transformers, all were severely damaged, 7 destroyed beyond repair .

The heavy copper wire that makes the transformer perform is now mostly gone .
All heavy copper leads to and from the transformers were cut and stolen.
Main lines going up over the roof to  high tension poles from the high voltage side were stolen also.

Turbo chargers from one of our Bus Engines,
Found  in a ditch  ...
Busted up to remove cast aluminum housing ..
These cost us about $500.each in core charges .
Found two  so far ... 6 are missing !

Below are examples of what the completed new and used turbo Housing  should look like
The  light grey part is an aluminum casting , this is what the thieves want with the turbo.

Below is a turbo mounted on a newly rebuilt Detroit Diesel 6V92TA engine .

These are turbo Chargers already removed to be sent to the engine rebuild Company, they are all good cores
